I’ve been working away on a colorful, fun bohemian piece. A Bauhaus lovely unassuming little desk.
According to the Met …The Bauhaus was founded in 1919 in the city of Weimar by German architect Walter Gropius (1883–1969). Its core objective was a radical concept: to reimagine the material world to reflect the unity of all the arts.
She’s colorful, whimsical, spontaneous, and fun!
She plays well with color
and things shiny and gold
How cool would she look with a piece of Amanda Talley artwork.
She’s a bit rambunctious and knocked me in the head! While I was painting the bottom inside white, I’d forgotten I removed the brackets and the top drop leaf konked me in the head.
So this is where I’ve been with my head seeing stars….
She can do whatever she wants and doesn’t bother to ask permission. She’s free and unencumbered by what everyone thinks. She’s casual, she’s lively….
with sparkle and pearls
Oh I think she’ll need a little more bling on the inside don’t you? The inside edges will get a little touch of gold.
She’d feel right at home in a setting like this…
Perch, New Orleans
What a whole bunch of fun this one is. I’m seriously giddy just thinking about staging with a vase, some books, maybe a foo dog or two.
I can’t wait to finish and find her a home.
How about pairing with the Climbing Leopard Rug by Diane Von Furstenburg. So many possibilities.
Any of these items would complement quite nicely!
I Guess it’s time to get to work!
